Among the new additions to the Monza FuoriGP 2026 programme is 'Un traguardo per tutti', a charity walk in support of Fondazione Maria Letizia Verga. It takes place on Saturday 5 September at 10.00 in Piazza Trento e Trieste, the heart of the festival organised by the City of Monza, which from 3 to 6 September accompanies the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix weekend in the city.
Five kilometres through the streets and squares of the old centre, with no ranking and no timing. The walk is free and open to everyone: you walk together, each at your own pace, on a route made as much for families as for people who train all year.
At the heart of it is a story that has belonged to Monza for almost fifty years. Fondazione Maria Letizia Verga was founded in 1979 and has become a nationally and internationally recognised centre for research into and treatment of childhood leukaemia. Its work runs along two lines that support each other: clinical research, which over recent decades has transformed the outlook for children with the disease, and support for families through the whole course of treatment, in the knowledge that a diagnosis never concerns the patient alone.
If you want to support the Foundation with a donation, you can register on the website and receive a race bib and a kit. Everything raised goes to the Foundation.
In a weekend built around engines and speed, 'Un traguardo per tutti' brings something else alongside: taking part together, and giving something back. It fits the identity of a festival that, through the line MORE THAN A RACE, tells the story of the city beyond the edge of the track.
